It Has Been A Long Time....

since I have posted on my blog. I have still been creating cards but not nearly as many items as I was a year ago. I was overweight (I knew it but didn't take it seriously) and during my yearly physical my doctor told me that my health was in jeopardy,  I was on high blood pressure and cholesterol meds already and now my cholesterol numbers were through the roof. She wanted me to take some pretty nasty new meds for my triglycerides. I asked for 6 months to try to get my weight down and get my cholesterol numbers better. I agreed to do it her way if I couldn't do it my way. This then consumed my way of life. I needed a total life style change, I started eating totally different (we eat out once a week now instead of fast food 4 days out of 7) and walked 4 miles everyday. The hard work paid off though, six months later when I went to have my numbers checked they were all in the normal range and I was then 53 pounds lighter. It has now been a year and I am 67 pounds lighter and in the best shape of my life. I got a clean bill of health during my yearly visit and am now off all my meds. I think I even amazed my doctor. It was not easy but it was so worth it and now I am trying to fit all the things I loved doing before (paper crafting and posting to my blog) with my new lifestyle of  cooking healthy and exercising. Thank you to all my followers that have stuck around, I really appreciate it!

For my post I created a card for this week's Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge. This week is special because we have a wonderful sponsor I Brake For Stamps. They were wonderful enough to let us play with the fabulous creations of  Rick St. Dennis. The theme this challenge is Anything Goes, I chose this cute image because of our own cute bunny Bandit. I am giving this card to one of the kiddos at school that also has a bunny and I made it so she could use it as a small plaque afterward. The blue panel is the card part and after she can glue it down and hang it from some pretty pink polka dot ribbon that I will include with it. I don't know if you can tell from the pic but the middle bunny is on a wobble so it wiggles when you move the card.

Be sure to come play along with us, you could win a great prize and we would love to see what you create!
